Brotherhood of Afrocentric Men (BAM)

“BAM will function to foster an environment in which first year male students of all races can come together in a safe space to participate in progressive dialogue, engage in impactful community service events, develop stepping skills, and affirm their identity. BAM seeks to provide a sense of commonality and brotherhood amongst all of its members regardless of any cultural differences there may be.”

Descendents of American Chattel Slavery (DACS)

“DACS is short for Descendants of American Chattel Slavery. What is most distinct about DACS is that they outline the institutional and systemic ramifications of American Chattel Slavery and it's persistent modes of oppression as a result of slavery. The breadth of the Diaspora has in some way been affected, but DACS pinpoints the issue of American institutions perpetuating anti-black governance and diatribe.”

Emory’s Black Student Union (EBSU)

“The Emory Black Student Union (EBSU) is a space with study and lounge areas, enhanced technologies, student resources, and is supported by committed staff, offering educational and social programming. Goizueta Black Student Association (GBSA)

The purpose of the Goizueta Black Student Association shall be to promote academics and diversity among Goizueta’s BBA and Pre-BBA students while adding value to the broader Atlanta community through charitable service events, leadership development, and expanding the network of both the Goizueta Black Student Association and the Goizueta Business School.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.”

Ngambika

“Ngambika is a Greek-neutral organization that promotes the emergence of student leaders on Emory’s campus through Service, Academics, Sisterhood, and Step (S.A.S.S). The step aspect of the organization aims to build a sisterhood through an athletic team experience. It acts as not only a way to strengthen the community, but also as a means of team building. This mission is carried out through community service projects in and around the Atlanta area as well as on Emory’s campus.”
